Was searching for a PBA Thread and all I found were threads about the Philippine Team which are already archived.

I don't get to watch PBA games anymore but I still try to read news and results whenever I have time.

What’s wrong with Petron (formerly SMB)? I saw the latest standings and just found out that they are getting eliminated...

Just for laughs, (I know most of you have seen this) but for those who haven't... Here's the Mick Pennisi video...

Mick's vid is waaay more personal as it involves physical contact. Ref already called before Mick made his flop. On the other hand, Asik's flop is a certified fake one.

That's the master of trolling NBA level.

It only shows that you don't need an all-star lineup to compete. You need guys to know what their roles to play and just feeling out each other. Another major factor is the import. They have a good one in Fazekas but doesn't fit their game.

yes Fazekas doesn't fit SMB that well. they should have pick an import that would do more work inside.

TNT is a really dominant team now. They're lineup is like an all-star team.

Just wondering, does anyone know how many of the recent PBA Finals reached a Game 7? There are some conspiracy theories going around... :p

With the NBA being easily accessible nowadays, I also lost interest in the PBA. There was a time when I didn't miss any San Miguel game and even watched live at Philsports, Cuneta and Araneta.

Nowadays when I watch the PBA, nakukulangan ako sa skills ng PBA players. Parang ang lamya lang ng laro.

I'd rather watch UAAP than PBA games. It's bad business.

IMO, its wrong to compare the collegiate basketball with the PBA and its also wrong to compare the NBA with our local league.

Here's a blogger who ranked each Olympic Sport in order of general TV viewing enjoyment.

Which Olympic sports are best and worst to watch on TV? Fourth-Place Medal ranks all 32. | Fourth-Place Medal - Yahoo! Sports

I personally only watched the Gold Medal game of the olympics since Spain's lineup looked great.

College ball is exciting since they are trying to attract the attention of scouts who work for professional teams. We all know that good college players in the UAAP means a good rookie contract in the PBA.

Once they reach the PBA, things tend to slow down because of various reasons.

    Anyway, back tot he PBA
    .

there's a new team (thank God Powerade was not sold to San Miguel/MVP)

Its been years since I watched a PBA game. Hope Philstar.com improves the quality of their streaming!

Of course these are all "hearsay", but when you get hooked to certain things like, ummmm, sabong, it can make you do certain things like, ummm, un-retire even.. but that's just hearsay ;p

i think Alaska got a good player in Calvin Abueva.

Petron and Ginebra both have a good draft.
