    Hi everyone!

I'm not a hardcore audiophile but I do appreciate really good sound. I've bought several headphones and amps in the last 5-6 months already. My latest item though is my first ever audio player outside of the iPod/iPhone/iPad family - the Nationite N2 Audio Player. Here's a picture:

It definitely doesn't have the iPod's sleek and intuitive UI but it delivers amazing sound. It has a built-in amp and BBE sound enhancer. It also comes with beta Brainwavz earphones that will completely blow the default white iPod earphones out of the water. All of that in a package that just costs Php2,950.

I'm pretty impressed with this product but given my limited knowledge with audio equipment I wanted to ask peeps here what other audio players you guys have outside of the iPod family? Please do give a quick review (or post pics) and where you got it and how much :D

    Cheers!

I'd go for Sandisk Sansa Clip+.. 8 GB for only 2500 which also features a microSD slot so if you want more music in your playlist, you can simply insert a memory card and you're done. It can also play FLAC files.. It's a pocket and budget friendly mp3 player..:)

when i was on a business trip in japan last year, i thought of getting a new music player to replace my old 4th gen ipod.

the latest ipod touch was the usually sensible choice but when i got to go around the stores, i noticed this korean-made PMP and after researching about it, i bought it instead of the ipod touch.:D

it got good reviews for audio performance and not being a fan of converting my video files (anime/jdrama/movies/etc) to mp4, i decided to go with this player since if plays avi, wmv and mp4 natively, though not all resolutions, bitrates and encoding. but still fine since most of my files are in avi, hehe

^A little too much attitude there. Easy lang, this is PhilMUG but we can definitely talk about gadgets from other manufacturers (in the right board) as well.

carloople: I've always been curious about HifiMAN products. Seems like they have quite a cult following in some circles.

Philips had always had good MP3 players but I always wonder why they never had a hit product.

Besides my iPod Touch, I listen to music with my HTC Desire S via PowerAmp . :)

I used to have a Creative Zen portable music player, the small black one with a 2.5 inch screen. Loved it's clear sound. Unfortunately it died on me after just nearly 1 year of use.
