So my geek and I arrive from Puerto Princesa yesterday and he gets a call from LapDance. Turns out he bought for me a Tootsie Brown laptop bag, and it was ready for delivery even before we boarded the plane.

The bag is just fabulous! It's my new laptop bag.

It's a shoulder tote made of luscious brown calf leather, and it's slim and feminine, a good option on days and trips when my Crumpler Part & Parcel feels just a little too much. It's large enough to fit the 14-inch and 17-inch Mac laptops, but since I always put my 12-incher in two sleeves, the laptop compartment of the bag has just the perfect dimensions.

The bag itself has a zip closure. The bag is fully padded, and the inside is lined with a really soft suede-like fabric. There are two main compartments -- one for the laptop and another one perhaps for cables and other things a girl needs to bring along.

The laptop compartment has a wide and sturdy strap to lock the laptop in and prevent it from slipping out. This laptop compartment is adequately padded and has the softest suede-like fabric lining inside, and its outside panel is made of leather. The pen loops are also made of leather. There are also small pockets for cellphones. The iPhone will fit into the larger pocket.

Even the outside pocket is padded, and it's so roomy. This outside pocket closes with a black Velcro strip.

It has feet, so the bag itself won't touch the floor when you set it down. The bag's bottom has a hard and rigid material inside it, but I don't know if it will eventually bend when the bag is loaded. I'll have to observe that in the coming days.

It has a metal loop where a leather ornament is attached, but it can also be a key fob and can be slipped into the outside pocket.

One of the things I like about the bag is that it's rigid. It will stand up on its own, and it's slim enough to fit in between chairs, along walls in tight spaces, and won't take up much room on a desktop. It's just about six inches deep. No more floppy bags on floors or tops of tables. As I grow older I find that I prefer structured bags more and more. (This is perhaps one of the reasons why I bought a Birkin.) I just need to glance into the bag to see that I have everything I need. An unstructured bag is a hassle to look through, and I always worry about forgetting to throw some small thing back into my bag. With a structured bag, plus my bag organizer inside it, one look and I know I have everything i need and didn't leave any stuff lying around.

All in all, I really like this bag. It's a laptop bag and a carryall, and it's vertical so I won't be hitting people with it as I walk around in crowded places. It's well-padded and sturdy, it's simple and looks classy and stylish, and because it's leather, it will grow more beautiful with use.

Funny how my geek is now starting to appreciate the kikay things in life.

You can order the bag from the LapDance site here. Thanks to kaffee for the tip.

just bought the be.ez LAbesace CLASSIC yesterday as an alternative for my brown lapdance bag.

@enshong: I think I saw those sleeves (or something similar) in glorietta where I bought my be.ez bag. I forgot the name of the store but it's near Shoe Salon

@maryannemoll: I love your bag! I'm actually thinking of getting the same design but in red.

For my black macbook, i use clear speck case. I also use laptop sleeves with the memory foam whenever i go out for work.

For the bags, i'm still using the Echolac Sling Bag. I just bought the Tucano Cobra bag which i've been looking for talaga. I'm very happy with it coz it's really light. I'm thinking of just using the sling bag for my workout clothes in the gym.

Here's the pic of Tucano Cobra Messenger Bag.
