The Ynzal Thread (merged), Posted 07-19-2008, 04:46 PM #1
I got this in my email just now. I think it's quite unfair to terminate because of a small mistake. What do you guys think?

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

July 18, 2008

To all our patrons, customers and friends,

We regret to inform you that Ynzal Marketing Corp. will cease to be an
Authorized Apple Reseller beginning July 29th. We received notice from
Apple recently that we will no longer be accredited as an authorized
reseller by July 29, 2008 pursuant to clause 13 B (i) of our
Authorized Apple Reseller Sales Agreement (which states that "Apple
can terminate the Agreement at any time, with or without cause, on 30
days written notice").

Last June 4, Apple called our attention because of a complaint by one
customer who requested to repair his unit. Apple claimed we have
committed irregularities in the warranty procedures for this
particular unit.

We have immediately acted on the complaint and resolved the matter
with the customer. Our own internal investigations reveal that we have
mistakenly encoded a different serial number on our Sales Invoice
resulting in a lot of confusion.

We have appealed to Apple for reconsideration by showing them that
there was no irregularity at all. We are hoping that Apple would see
the merits of our appeal and realize that it was just a case of
inadvertence and misunderstanding. Up to now, we have yet to receive a
reply from Apple regarding our appeal.

Rest assured however, we will continue to provide our best-in-breed
solutions, name-brand products and after market peripherals through
the services you came to love.

We are looking forward to your continuous support.

Sincerely,

The Management

I thought Ynzal is one of the better shops and Power Mac had the most complaints? What seems to be wrong here?

I guess this should serve as a warning to the not so good ones.

This is so uncool! I've bought ALL my recent Macs from Ynzal, and all I can say is that they have excellent customer care and support, personalized even, if I may add. If it is indeed all because of one typographical mishap, then I think it's totally unfair. I do hope they gain back their status as Authorized Reseller, and soon.

does this also mean that they no longer can process warranty claims?

I should be think of all purchases toward PC side already, don't want to raise my blood pressure dealing with those uneducated people at PowerMAC, they should be the one to be revoke. well they always do everything they can to deny any warranty claim (must be stupid or just super lazy doing their job)

I think the better way to teach a mistake is issue a warning, its better than revoke their license, PowerMac do exercise illegal music on their machine before di ba, I think Ynzal is still more legal than them.

sana Apple will revise their decision on this, or this will be a big loss to Mac community here in the Philippines.
