MBP screen disaster after it woke up, Posted 06-02-2008, 04:07 AM #1
Hey folks, I need help. Here's the story: I went to sleep early last night after a long and boring Sunday... and so I let my Mac sleep too by closing its lid. Then I woke up early today AND when I opened the lid, I was surprised to have found this:

Click the image to open in full size.

Does this usually happen? This did not happen with my first MacBook 2.2/2 (Late '07). What could be causing this? The only major software thing I did last week was 10.5.3. What am I going to do now? HELP! If there's an existing thread about this, please do the necessary. I tried searching but I don't know what this phenomenon is called.

TIA

its a video card driver or possible video card hardware issue, just bring it to any apple service center to have it checked.

I turned it off, waited and turned it back on. Let it sleep, woke it up and it's been okay. If that ever happens again, I'll surely bring it in. It just felt different when it happened especially for the price I paid for it...

ahh, that's good. sucks to have to go to a service centre to have it serviced hehe. what more to leave it there.

But maybe you should bring your laptop (or at least the pic you took) to an apple service centre and ask them. It may be a sign of something worse coming. Or something may be loose.

Good luck.

maybe sadako tried to crawl out of it?

try doing what you did the night before it went like that to see if there's a pattern to the malfunction. then bring it to the service center.

hahaha! sadako! oo nga! kakatakot cguro kung basa-basa pa yung MBP mo. joke

glad to know it works again. sometimes nakakainis when you're at the service center na tapos okay naman ung ipapagawa mo. it happens on celfones sometimes di ba? yung tipong magpu-prove ka pa na "no! talagang may prob!", and you'd do anything just to make the problem be seen.
