A couple of week's back my iMac G4 800 Superdrive's 60GB 5400RPM HDD started making clicking sounds while reading and writing. I reported the issue to Liteware Computers where I bought my unit and within a week, they pulled out the HDD and sent me a replacement.

I was beaming ear to ear when I realized that Apple had sent me an UPGRADED Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 80GB HDD.

Just wanted to share with the Mac community at large about my satisfaction on making that switch nearly 2 years ago.

Thank you for sharing with us your Extended Applecare story, ALFIE! Really shows the wisdom in having availed of Applecare before it was too late.

Been hearing a lot of good things about Liteware Computers lately. Where are they located, ALF?

I just noticed. Thanks to my Combo drive replacement, my PowerBook is now DVD region-free. Isn't that cool?
