A faster, safer internet, for FREE: OpenDNS, Posted 11-06-2006, 05:40 PM #1
I just tried this out at my folks' place and I got instant results. My web browsing is significantly faster. I'll try it out tonight and see what happens there.

Check it out, there are no strings attached--no signups, no fees, no ads, no fuss, nothing. All it takes is for you to punch in their two DNS nameservers into your network prefs or router's settings and you're good to go. It only takes two minutes, and anyone can do it. Results are instant (at least for me it was).

I won't post the DNS addresses here. It's only fair that you get it from their website: OpenDNS.com

Please reply here and share your experiences.

Enjoy!

(I know this was mentioned in a couple of threads before, but I believe this tip deserves its own thread)

OpenDNS. Been using this service for quite a while now, 2 or 3 months I believe.

Have fun!
