am amazed at the longevity of this drama! three weeks away from philmug for me, and still no end to this war. gave up after reading back to page 34 - it's getting even more toxic than before!

will not pass any judgment or opinion, but i hope holy week brings some discernment and good judgement to all those involved (and to anyone else who comments in this thread).

Last April 3, djwoblely / ryan soriano emailed Rico a blogger friend and requested that he take down a post about him. I think this explains why he's been ignoring all calls for him to return the laptop.

Rico Mossesgeld,

I understand that you work with Marc Macalua and you posted this article primarily to help your friend. I have hired a lawyer for the matter of the alleged laptop and have trusted the legality of this situation to an expert at law. On the basis of not showing up for the meetings comes the belief of guilt. I have been doing everything within the legal boundaries and have listened to the expert advice of my lawyer on this matter. My lawyer has been busy as this is not the only case that she is handling. I would like to request that you remove this post and also my picture. What has been said on Philmug is enough right now. I have not defended myself online at the advice of my lawer. I understand that Marc has his rights but please understand that I do also. May I also request your mailing address. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ryan Soriano
What's funny is according to another source who requested anonymity, Ryan Soriano has been telling this story to his MBA classmates, so no effort to hide it whatsoever. Not sure why online reputation wise he's that concerned about it. He may be telling a different story to his MBAmates though.

BTW appreciate the support everyone. But time to move on I think. I've already forwarded the case to our lawyer. Him and CIDD/CIDG will be taking the fight to Ryan Soriano and his future mother-in-law Atty. Epifania Obias in the next few days. A local TV station network has also picked up the story and will be running a story on this. They just finished interviewing me this morning.

Also your offers to start a fund to retrieve the stolen Macbook Pro is a noble gesture. I was thinking let's start a fund, and use it for beer money to finally celebrate when the Macbook Pro is saved and the perps get what they deserve.

Happy easter to almost everyone in here!

Wow, nationwidest na yung issue (parang TM)..Local TV network (GMA 7 or 2, or probably sa Channel 13 Bitag)...Btw, curious to see that interview..Its good that the public may become aware of the widespread laptop theft and the Anti-fencing law.. Those criminals should be punished.

Once the media's in, things are going to be a lot different. Reputations will get tainted, if not shattered, so I do hope the offending parties have a change of heart.

Been following the thread since the 1st page. I really refrain from posting because i really get furious with the current situation (If i was in Marc's shoes id really get furious and God knows what i would do!). Im also glad that Marc didn't give up the fight. Yari na, because the media is involved already. Hope you get back your MBP soon!
