Whoa! Apple just announced an unreleased product, albeit without any specs or pics. Hell hath frozen over. :-)
Big miscalculation on Apple's part. They've ran out of iMac G4s to ship and the replacements (iMac G5s?) are not ready. Apple's gonna miss out on educational orders for sure. I wonder whose fault this is: Apple's engineers, IBM's chip guys, or the Quanta factory in China?
Apple needs to lower the prices of the remaining iMac G4s though. I reckon there's still a number of those in the retail channel. If not, most would-be buyers will just wait for the new iMacs instead of buying one right now, even if the current models are adequate for their needs. A substantial price cut will help Apple and its resellers clear out their remaining stocks of iMac G4s. ;-)

Oh my God! Now should I trade my iMac in for the new one, or push through with my original plan of giving Chiaki an baby iBook brother?
