Apple files patent on translucent windows

Apple has recently filed a patent for translucent windows that automatically adjust the opacity as information is updated (or not updated): "overlaid, Information-bearing windows whose contents remain unchanged for a predetermined period of time become translucent.

Maybe this is one of the new features of Tiger.

Translucency is an existing feature for OS X (in general). Apple updated it a notch higher and applied a patent due to the upcoming Longhorn feature.
