Am so happy to report that my Albook which had the white spots has a new LCD. Thanks to the Apple Display Repair Program. I brought my unit to Senco Link last Wednesday for them to check if indeed my Albook is qualified. I brought my unit back to Senco yesterday afternoon after I received a call from them to notify me that the replacement LCD has arrived from Singapore. I picked up my unit this morning. Bye bye white spots

This is the nice thing about Apple ... their warranty service is very good. Compare it with the other "branded" notebooks available locally and you never hear about any of these "recall" programs or when you report a problem, they try to get their way out of fixing your computer. The epitome of this level of service is when my iPod headphones started getting garbled sound on one side - "basag". Others would not even cover this type of problem, since the headphones can easily be used in another stereo equipment and played too loudly, causing the broken speaker diaphragm. But not Powermac - they trust their users!
    Kudos to Apple.
