Default Sony and Apple in cahoots on PS3?

    Ars Technica reports:
    May 14, 2005 @ 8:01AM - posted by Jeff Smykil
Hot off the wild success of the Apple/Bandai Pippen (that all but destroyed the original Playstation), Sony is rumored to be enlisting Apple's help on their Playstation 3 next-generation gaming console.

Acording to a poster on the PS3Forums and a little research from The Mac Daily News Sony and Apple might be working together on iPod integration and an iTunes solution for the PS3.

Default Sony Playstation 3 details revealed

    got this from CNet News

Here's a quick look at the new Sony Playstation 3, as revealed today in a glitzy ceremony on the company's Culver City studio lots.

So far, they've announced wireless Bluetooth-based controllers, and a detachable 2.5-inch hard drive. The core will be the new Cell processor, developed by IBM and Toshiba, and apparently running at 3.2 Ghz, rather than the 4 Ghz previously reported. The product will have slots for memory stick and compact flash media, a gigbit Ethernet connection, and built-in Wi-fi. There will be support for dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd+rw and CDs.

erm.. Sony using iPods? That will be the day. It would be nice, although I am inclined to think they are trying hard to develop the Walkman...
