New Product announcement next week?

Just finished talking to a friend of mine who works at the Apple Regent Store here in the UK and he told me that I should expect a new product from Apple by Thursday next week. What the product is and how significant it may actually be still remains to be seen. It's definitely not the new iPods since they were briefed on that last weekend and have it in stock already here in the UK.

Apparently, they're going to be briefed on Thursday about some new product. He says it could just be an upgrade to the Powerbook line or even a Mac Mini. He can only speculate what it could be, since they're usually kept in the dark on new products until they are going to be launched. But it can get pretty exciting just thinking what Apple will come out with.

Again, he has no idea what the product might be, but he does expect something new next week. Just thought I'd share this information.

He did say he would keep me updated if anything else comes up.

Macrumors.com has on its site an article on a 2gb and 4gb iPod shuffles. On page 2, the site reports on a mac mini update and an iTunes phone.:winkgrin:

Pleassse...... not the ibook. i just bought mine last month. Argh!..... enough of this. all we have to do is wait..... if its true.......sana G5 ibook
