Ok, this is it, I hope it's true. Just in time to replace my 12" PowerBook that's starting to get a bit long in the tooth.

I expect a product unveiling at MWSF '06 with the initial units being shipped before mid-year.

i've heard from a source of mine at intel that it could be as early as feb. if that sounds like im rumormongering, and i know it does, strike my post off the forum. but i swear i was told that bit of info, and was claimed to be veery reliable. im amused that i even care to share, as i wouldnt give a hoot over another brand. like dell or creative :P

and oh yeah, also read somewhere that apple would be dropping the powerbook 12" in favor of the 13" ibooks...

Excellent.
My poor G3 iBook is showing its age. I almost went out to get a G4 one, but with newer ones on the horizon, I might as well just wait. I surely hope it's midyear and that the prices will be comparable.
How about Intel Mac Minis? Any news on those?

oh my.. this is definitely what i'm waiting for..
the saving quest continues..
how would you guys predict the probable price range of the intel-based PBs? would it be significantly higher than the current models (with roughly same specs), or just comparable? :qmark:
