Apple to participate at Photokina this September - what if????
This is the largest photography event in the world...so what is Apple going to do there? Is it just a new version of Aperture? Could it be the venue to announce new Macbook Pros? Or wouldn't it be great if the new iPod came with a basic integrated camera? Remember, Apple was one of the first to come out with a digital camera (the Quicktake) in the marketplace....

Apple has sent out invites to the media for a special event, coinciding with Photokina.
From MacWorld UK:

Apple is to attend Photokina 2006 – this will be the first time the company has attended the Cologne-based photography show that takes place from 26 September to 1 October.
It is possible that the company will be focusing its attention on the next version of Aperture at the show. The UK press has received notification of a special Apple presentation happening at Photokina on September 25.
