for many of us, that would be a match made in digital heaven. sure, some people think palm is dead, but how come so many of us love the OS? because it's still the easiest to use, like the mac OS itself. a blend of the two would be perfect, and i wouldn't mind shelling out (after saving up) 50K for an apple smartphone, finally.

this is good news indeed. Palm will definitely be rejuvenated with Apple's innovative approach.![]()
Now I wouldn't mind this happening. Talk about synergy. Hey an iPod-Palm Pilot hybrid would be perfect for my needs.
I've been wishing this for the longest time. Jeff and Donna could really use some of that Steve and Johnny magic.

It's interesting to read further that Uncle Steve's first acts when he returned to Apple in '96 was to kill the Newton which was the precursor to the Palm Pilot.
But thinking back. I think he (Steve) just wanted to get back at Sculley (who fired him) since the Newton is the brainchild of Sculley.
this is very interesting to keep an eye of
weren't the founders of Palm former members of the Newton team? i remember reading about this sometime ago... or hearing about it. not sure.
Wouldnt it be ironic that Apple would finally buy Be Inc.,
