About LinkBackswith the recent recall of batteries by dell and apple, quantas airline is now thinking of restricting the use apple laptops on their aircraft. i hope other airlines wont get any ideas and follow this restriction..

Re: airlines may restrict use of apple notebook Qantas actually implemented a rule for Dell laptops. A Dell can still be used provided that it's running on solely on battery, or running on AC power without the laptop battery. IOW, as long as there is no battery charging going on, they'll allow it.

this is only goin and leaving the US . it doesnt apply to other countries.
i remember they even got the lip balm of my friend from NY to LA.
So are you sure you can hand carry your laptop?
