airlines may restrict use of apple notebook
with the recent recall of batteries by dell and apple, quantas airline is now thinking of restricting the use apple laptops on their aircraft. i hope other airlines wont get any ideas and follow this restriction..

Ay ya yay! that will be a bad news Just came from NY they were tough especially if your going to UK, hope this will not be fleet wide on airlines!

Qantas actually implemented a rule for Dell laptops. A Dell can still be used provided that it's running on solely on battery, or running on AC power without the laptop battery. IOW, as long as there is no battery charging going on, they'll allow it.

just flew to Tuguegarao and it was on my back pack no hazzle and that was coming from NY hand carry all the time!

Just took a flight on NWA to Japan and back. I used it with no problems.

i heard they dont allow any electronic devices insdie the airplane...that includes cameras, laptops and celphones.
this is only goin and leaving the US . it doesnt apply to other countries.
i remember they even got the lip balm of my friend from NY to LA.
So are you sure you can hand carry your laptop?
