3 month warranty before Apple Care
Im a bit confused about the new policy for purchasing the apple care:
some people told me that the only way to extend your warranty up to three years is by purchasing an apple care 3 months after you have purchased your mac.
while others told me that its better to purchase an apple care just before the first year end. Which is which? thanks!!!

Re: 3 month warranty before Apple Care
Your Apple unit comes with 1 year of hardware warranty and 90 days of free phone support. It is better to purchase the AppleCare on same day, else you might forget it and regret that later. But you can get the Apple Care as long as you unit is still within the warranty.

yeah you can buy Apple Care anytime.. you just have to register it before the limited warranty period (of the Mac you're gonna register it to) ends..

Re: 3 month warranty before Apple Care
the actual price of applecare depends on the product (more for powerbooks, less for ipods). but the price is the same (theoretically, because you can get special deals from some dealers) whether you buy it on day 1 or on day 364 (but don't wait! you might compute wrongly).
