Dear PhilMUG members:

This is a public warning to all members to beware of dealing with user Miguel Jimenez, whose former username is zeon22.

This particular account was recently used to defraud a PhilMUG member. The threads can be viewed here: http://www.philmug.ph/forum/showthread.php?t=56249 and http://www.philmug.ph/forum/showthread.php?t=56852

We are not passing judgement on the person behind this account as he has indicated that his laptop was stolen and that all username and passwords to all forum accounts were saved in active cookies on his browsers. However, the fact that the username was used to deceive and con a PhilMUG member is a serious matter which should be acted upon by this organization.

As such, the account has been suspended indefinitely and the person who created this account originally is likewise indefinitely banned from registering again in PhilMUG.

This decision was arrived at based on our investigations as well as the findings of the victim's own investigation.

The real name of the person hiding in many usernames is Michael R. Dizon. He is the son of Angelyn R. Dizon, the bpi account holder whom I deposited my full payment for the laptop.
Michael R. Dizon is not from Naga, Cam Sur, as what he tells people in every site he is in.
Reputation build online as well as the successful transactions made in the past (this person had sold a macbook.. and got 30+ + feedback scores in other site..well. having second thoughts already if these are real) cannot be fully trusted. Also, the research I did about this Michael before I made the transaction did not also help to predict his future behavior.
I learned my lesson the hard..the pricey way!
I hope, nobody will do the same mistake. Be careful with everybody.

I’d like to thank the Philmug family for extending their help in this case. And to everyone else who gave their support instead of resorting to blame, I appreciate the sympathy.

April 23 was the date that "miguel Jimenez" agreed to reimburse me with the amount i paid. He was able to give 10k for that was the highest amount he could entrust his staff to deposit. He was not available during that time.
After that, he offered and convinced me to get the laptop instead of the remaining amount. I accepted it.
I received the item last april 29 - the laptop which was in a pristine condition.

After a month and 6 days, the problem is solved. case closed!
I did not expect that it'll end up this way. so happy!

I just wonder what are life's battles for miguel jimenez? I hope he sees there is a better & happier life ahead of him and for his loved ones, he just has to make this better choice.
