it's 17-50 dude!
uhmm... yeah Charlie has 'em (Digital Walker/Zoom) though I think they only have the one with VR.
Try Mayers at Hidalgo, too.

Re: tamron lens
The Tamron 17-50/2.8 is a great lens. Bang for your buck.
I believe the the newest version has VC (their version of the VR fearure of Nikkor lenses).
Digital Walker Zoom, Pixel Pro
Good luck.

Re: tamron lens
Nice lens! Value for money! Make one question if the Canon 18 - 55mm 2.8F is worth it.
Will point you to the same place DW@ Greenbelt 5.

Re: tamron lens
my neighbor got a pre-owned 17-50 f2.8 No BIM version yesterday for 12,500 . He returned it asap because the pictures produced were soft. we tested 2.8, f4, f8. same results. a lemon copy perhaps. If you're interested check out pipho forum.

Re: tamron lens
try the sigma 14mm f2.8 for full frame UWA goodness. One of the cheap alternatives to canon's 14mm f2.8. The sigma 14mm is pretty sharp if you get a good copy. You can only spot this lens on the second hand market as they are now discontinued.
