*eating powdered Milo is making a comeback in our household. That was my wife's favorite when she was young, now our two daughters are carrying on the tradition!

Eating powdered Milo is more of an instinct, I think. Like scratching an itch.

Yeah, when there is no real chocolate candy around. Try it with a few drops of water to make it sticky. Yummy!

my lola's adobo...one of the best!
    ...native suman, bibingka, and
the chinese suman.. I don't know the official term for it. But it's a flavored rice with meat, beans, salted eggs. wrapped in traditional banana leaves ..mmm.yummy. (haven't tasted one for ages)

    Current Favorites:
Oreo with both peanut butter and chocolate filling - the combination of both fillings are just awesome.
Loacker - the almond nut with chocolate. (just melts in your mouth)

    Hey, I'd eat Ovaltine.

    Comfort food:

Mac & Cheese. (and not just because it has "Mac" in its name...)

    Roschti & melted Raclette

Smoked Salmon in a bagel w/ lots of cream cheese.

    Butakakuni Ramen

Melted Queso de Bola "chips". (Get some Marca Pato, cut them into slivers, bake in an oven, and wait for it to set. Eat.)

Spam cooked w/ sugar and hot white rice.

Taba ng Talangka & hot rice.

    Campbell's Cream of Mushroom

On a side note, relatives from Pampanga count "bayawak eggs with a dash of patis" on hot rice as comfort food. Been trying to score some eggs, but they're pretty hard to come by. Has anyone tried it, and is it really worth the effort?

Nowadays for me, it has to be Pancake House's pan chicken. In my book, the best damn fried chicken available commercially (sorry Max's, my loyalties have shifted). There's no melancholy a three-piece order can't ease. And when I'm feeling really down I complement this with a bacon waffle.
