Default What is your Mac\'s default alert sound?

[This may be just another silly survey, but don't you think it's nice to know what your fellow MUGgers are doing with their Macs?]

Did you change your default alert sound? Which one did you choose?

I selected Sosumi. I like the idea behind the name and the sound it makes is distinctively Mac, classic era pa.

Glass. Formerly Submarine (1 to 2 years ago). And Sosumi before that.

I miss the classic " quack " sound, I just wonder where can I get it to install on OS X.

Since I still use Mac OS 9, I currently use Glass but Quack remains my all-time favorite Mac alert sound.

But I do have a lot of fun third party alerts including Chu Toy, Cash Register, Bugs Bunny's What's Up, Doc, a Female Sexy Alert (a really intriguing short moan!), Homer Simpson's D'oh!, Drum Roll, Crashing Car, Car Horn, Distorted Electric Guitar, Whistle and many more. Most of these alert sounds I picked up from the shareware CD's included in back issues of Mac Addict. But they should be available somewhere in the Net. Just type "Mac alert sounds" in Google and you should find these and more. I don't know if you can install them in OS X, though.

If you don't want to settle for these sounds, then you can record your own Mac alert sound, at least in OS 9, it's possible. I've recorded my pamangkins saying all sorts of silly things and used them as my Mac alert sound at one time or another. But there's probably a way to do it in OS X.
