What Digital Camera Brand is Better?
For you digital camera lovers, which is a better camera brand in general? Canon, Sony, Olympus, others?
Please write your inputs, maging low-end or high-end man na models.
As for me, wala pa ko marerecommend. Im currently using a Sony DSC-P32 3.2 MP with no zoom. This is the entry-model of Sony's DSC series. So far, it's ok. The problem is that, it uses, 2 AA batts and it drains fast.
The quality resolution is excellent, however I have disappointments with the lag time. Mabagal. The shooting time is also disappointing, not like the Casio ones.
I can't say more about this camera. Can you recommend other models?

Sympre "Canon" in general for digital camera. Next to it for me is Sony & Nikon.
As far as selecting which models, the buyer must do their research on current line-ups locally available. Having local warranty may save you big time later.
Check out forums and review sites such as dpreview.com or robgalbraith.com.

I'm currently using a Nikon prosumer digicam (CoolPix 4500, superb macros) but overall, I think Canon is tops.

National Geographic recommends Canon for entry-level or beginner users
I think Canon is the new 1st placer. Before kasi Nikon is the most popular of them all. I guess the white zoom lenses did the trick!

I find my 5 megapixels Sony dsc t1 very reliable. Quality is also excellent for a really tiny and slim camera that I can just slip into any bag. Of course, Canon started it all so they are alledgedly the best. They say the 300d is an excellent and fantastic choice for entry level photographers. Of course, Digital SLRs rest on an entirely different plane altogether. BUT! It's just too darn BIG and plumpy to bring around. I also do not like the silver finish for some reason but maybe the all-black Japanese release might make me overlook the size issue.

Having heard the MUGgers that I know continuously rave about Canon & having seen the finished product many times, would definitely consider getting a Canon when I have the money to invest in a DSLR.
