Re: PhilMUG Runners: what got you into Nike+?
ok i'll start. for over 6 months since leaving the gym, i've pretty much lived a sedentary life
although i'm always on the go being in the construction business, i felt that my physical activities were not enough.
i'm a father of 2 and next week i'm turning 35, and so i thought, heck i should do something about this, fast. and so, last week of April 07, i got myself a pair of mizuno's, the sport kit, a shoe adapter & an armband. before i knew it, i was running like i've never done before!
bought my kit at powerMac greenbelt. read about it online but i guess this site convinced me.

For me, I heard about it from someone at the gym I go to. I got my sport kit from Singapore.
Before getting the sport kit I used to have to force myself to run, since I got it I've been able to run twice a week besides going to the gym 3 days a week.

Honestly, I read about it online and it seemed like a nice toy. Haha, so I bought my sensor and shoes here and the armband courtesy of my parents during their trip to the U.S.A.
Haven't ran in a while though, will do this week.

Read about it online, was convinced by Carlo then had Benedict ship one from Hongkong. It's till not available in my area. I believe I am the only one who has it in this whole city, really.
I've always loved running, but it's the lack of an effective tracking system that made me an on and off runner. I'm OC eh, I need to know. Because of Nike+ and the stats, I have tangible proof that my fitness level really is getting better (and also, when I'm getting slack). The system is just a great motivator.

Nike and Apple are my most favorite brands in the entire world. And when I saw both logos together it made me want it before knowing what the product was or was all about. I had been waiting for it ever since. Got my Nike Kit as a gift from a very good friend.

This community made me do it again.... =)
I purchased one last May 23. I'm now in the process of walking and running to build enough stamina to actually do any decent running.

Read about it the first time it was launched. But it was the Philmug challenge that got me into Nike+. I liked the idea of being able to track your performance and be able to see how you are doing compared to the others in the group.
