philmug directory of services
my recent (and quickie) search for philmug talent suggested this new poll (i better watch this polling habit--must be the election season). why don't we list down the professional (emphasis on professional) services we can offer, so that we can give priority, if possible, to philmuggers whose abilities and integrity we can trust when we require certain services? i know that we covered some this stuff in the getting-to-know-you thread, but i'd like to be able to isolate professional services from interests or hobbies (unless your level of knowhow is of professional quality).
as usual, i'll begin:
i offer writing, editorial, and editorial management and consultancy services--coffeetable books, AV scripts, commercial film feature screenplays, corporate publications, writing workshops, speeches, annual reports, and general PR services. i have a registered company (word & image, inc.) and i am a registered professional, with official receipts. i work in both english and filipino.
my clients have included the ayala corporation, the asian development bank, the ramon magsaysay foundation, the office of the president, SGV & co., punongbayan & araullo, the national economic and development authority, the DENR, shell philippines, the university of the philippines, the united nations development program, the national transmisson corporation, smart communications, the philippine rural reconstruction movement, and various political and business leaders.
i may not always have the time to take on a job (and i won't, if i don't have the time), but it can't hurt to ask. i'm not cheap, but i don't charge too much, either--just enough to feed my mac addiction

My interest in Macs has evolved from hobby to source of livelihood. I started in 1995 knowing nothing. In 1996 I was tapped to head up a Mac-based web services team in a major Philippine ad agency. In 1998 we spun off into an independent multimedia company of which I was the president. In 2000 I was hired as a Mac-based eBusiness Consultant (whatever that means), focused on search engine optimization. In 2002, now based in the US, I was hired as a Mac Tech Support specialist. Now I am a Senior Mac Network Administrator, and I head up my division. It's been a pretty wild ride so far, and it all started because my father-in-law once let me play around with his old LC-III running System 7.1.
Anyway: I fix Macs, keep them in shape, have solved some Mac problems that even Apple engineers couldn't figure out, and manage medium-to-large Mac- and cross platform LANs and WANs. Along the way I've picked up some Windows 98/2K/XP troubleshooting skills as well. I do tech consulting on the side. I make web sites. I write a monthly PCWorld Philippines column about the Mac and tech issues, and can also discourse passably on my other areas of obsession: DVDs, video games, movies, comics, science fiction, noir crime fiction, etc. I'm based in the US, in Northern NJ. I'm not cheap, but I'm worth every cent.
EDIT: in another life, I was a TV News reporter for several years, but I don't do that anymore.

I'm an events management producer. I work in-house for Stages Production Specialists but do freelance work as well. My most recent projects have been the Unilab Management Committee Gala Night at the Shangri-la Manila (freelance) and the Globe Telecom Annual Company Christmas Party at the NBC Tent (under Stages). I'm also a Stages in-house talent for stage, screen, print and recording (pati na rin sa Soundcrew - thanks, Ditoy). I do production assistant work as well.
Mainly, I'm a Gymboree Master Trainor and do events on the side. I've also recently started contributing for T3 magazine. On certain weekends, you can find me in Anilao working as a divemaster.
I also bake zucchini bread, ordered per loaf. Highly addictive. You have been warned.

As I have mentioned in my Getting to know you reply, I'm a professional "tigabutingting ng kompyuter" -- mostly Wintel machines. My current line of specialization (if there is such a thing in my chosen career) is networking and my current official designation is "LAN Administrator". I'm in charge of around 14 servers running different OS's and around 200 Wintel workstations. I also do occassional consulting with our clients whenever their requested application require networking components.
I also did some AV presentations for the Metrobank Foundation, one of which was presented in one of their affairs in Malacanang during the FVR administration. I also do "pro bono" network setups for close friends and associates (no cash payment involved/necessary, just a hearty lunch or dinner was payment enough
)
On the side, I do some writing for a tech/lifestyle magazine.

I used to manage a web dev shop (and was the lead PM) back in the 90's and 2000.

I am a professional comedian. I do not dress up in drag and insult people though.
Instead, I do corporate hosting.
Recent projects include the Globe Telecom Annual Company Christmas Party at the NBC Tent (freelancer! hindi tayo nagkita doon!), several Procter and Gamble AAI conferences and the most recent Prumerica conference (all in Singapore).
I also do a lot of gigs with my improv group SPIT.
Our recent clients include Smart, Sun Cellular, San Miguel Super Dry, Microsoft, BMW, Nokia, Bayer and Procter and Gamble. We just recently spearheaded Spontaneous Combustion, the first Philippine Improv Comedy Festival at the CCP. Next month we head to Los Angeles to represent the country in the Los Angeles Annual Improv Festival.
I also do a lot of corporate training with SPIT. Our clients are taught how to use the principles of the improv comedian in fighting stress, improving communication skills and developing better team dynamics. We will begin a fleet wide training program for a major airline soon.
I write. I've contributed to a number of magazines. I was once the ill-tempered advice columnist of Flip. I was also one of the writers of Electile Dysfunction.
I occasionaly do product endorsements. I pranced around naked for tissue paper and am currently mugging for benign intestinal bacteria.
I do a lot of voice work for radio and television ads and appear once in a while on television and in the movies (Just checked - I'm actually on IMDb!).
The truth is, most of the time I just stay home and browse Philmug.
So there.

I'm a market researcher for the third largest worldwide research agency. I handle accounts for alcoholic beverages and automotives. I also did a couple of studies on real estate projects. Basically, in the line of work I'm in, I provide readings on consumer learnings and behaviour and translate this into useful consumer insight for clients.
