    Default Philippine Elections 2004

In less than 2 weeks, the Nation shall decide on who shall run the country for the next 6 years. Who are you voting for?

    PS

Did anyone see the cover of last Sunday's Panorama magazine of the Manila Bulletin? I didn't know there were four candidates for vice-president. Not to mention Eddie Gil's exclusion from the list.

Actually, I voted for Villanueva too but thought I'd vote for the VPs first. After clicking on Hermie Aquino then submitting, I can't vote for the presidentiables. What gives?

Roco gets my vote, but I'll most probably vote for GMA come election day.

This country is not fir for U.S.-style democracy.

Gloria is my Dad's cousin, and Noli is my Mom's cousin, so logically, I should vote for ...Bro. Eddie Villanueva.

I don't even know if I would actually bother going out to vote.... whoever wins will still be a minority president... let's say the winner gets 30% of all the votes in the Philippines, which is more than his/her competitor, still 70% don't like him or her... geez!

Why can't we just have a parliamentary system? :P

I know we're not supposed to hard-sell, campaign or pontificate on this thread, but I just have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at the support for Eddie Villanueva in this forum. Some people in some sectors actually dismiss him offhand as a nuisance candidate, without even studying the candidates and what they stand for.

I've looked at the platforms, and Bro. Eddie's seems to be the only one that is an actual, practical, workable, realistic plan, and to put the icing on the cake, the only God-centered one.

Well, whatever happens this coming election, as a country, we will get the President that we deserve. Which is what worries me.
