Default iPod nano: 2GB or 4GB

PhilMUG's generous promo is tempting but what to get

    2GB @ 11.5T

    or

    4GB @ 14T

I'm also thinking of using sarin/cling on wrap as a case to prevent scratches and show to the world I have a nano! I find it a bit ironic that the case that will flood us soon might be thicker than the nano itself. You just gotta love Apple's design team headed by Jonathan Ive.

i'd get the 4gig nano in a heartbeat. just add 2.5 thou, and you get twice the capacity. come to think of it, maybe next year apple would double the capacity of their nano product line. imagine a nano with an 8gb flash...

... here's my fearless forecast: they'll release the 5th gen ipod next year, which supports video. these ipods would still be harddrive based, and 60gig would be the smallest capacity. then, apple would revive the mini, now colored, sporting a 20 or 40 gig hardrrive.oh and hopefully the nano would jump to an 8 or even a 12gb flash! i hope it's not just wishful thinking on my part!

For me why don't you just buy the ipod video instead of the 4gig one, just by adding about 3k you could already buy a 30gb ipod video. thats nearly 8 times the size of the 4gig one.

Given that tweek is choosing between the 2 and 4 gig iPod nano it's obvious that size was the primary purchase consideration.

As long as you can afford it, go for the bigger capacity nano

4G all the way. The 2G is bitin. You'll get music claustrophobia.
