OS X came after OS 9, so...

but if you go to Apple Store: "Excuse me, do you guys have Tiger in stock?"
some mac users would say it OS X or OS Ten, but for the switchers... i think it's more "Tiger" or even Apple "Tiger"

(then) Panther OS, (now) Tiger OS.

Pronounced oh es ten. Panther would be oh es ten point three and Tiger would be oh es ten point four.

you can easily tell if the dude is a, well, dell dude when they pronounce it as "x". mac users KNOW that it is "ten", so i dont get the point of this thread... :embarrased:

The point is, not all Mac users say 'Ten' and probably a lot out there still say 'X' (mostly switchers who are probably getting used to not seeing a P beside that X) as you may very well see from the results of this poll. Would you then say that these people are, well, DELL dudes?
This is probably me, nitpicking...

when the first revision of os x came out jobs/apple specifically pointed out that it is 'ten' the roman numeral not the letter. articles on this issue can be found on macworld and macaddict, just google it. and yes, most pc users still call it mac os "x" not "ten", dude... also, your poll does not indicate if the voter is a mac user or not since philmug is not 100% mac users, so there you go... 'nuff said.

No need to heat up here. It's just a simple question. Like a yes or a no? eX or Ten? I was just curious how many people think it's one and not the other.

For some reason, I like X(ex), since it shows its UniX heritage , it also reminds me of NeXT computers
