Hmm.. I know some people avoid rice when they diet, but I found out that there's this kind of rice that has a low GI (glycemic index) - the brand is Sunrice Clever Rice. Dunno lang kung available yan sa pinas. If it is, try it - it's an excellent product.
From what I've been told, carbs with low GI help lose weight. We get fuller a lot quicker. And we stay full for a lot longer.

Hi Louvette, don't know if the rice is available. Your right about the GI -- it's the new fad in dieting. I know a guy who's just eating wheat bread and peanuts.... but in my experience it's really cardio workouts that help burn fat. They say that you should actually do long slow workouts and not work too hard in running, biking, swimming, cross trainer, badminton etc. (if you have a heart rate monitor, you shouldn't go above 65% of your max heart rate).

Aba, mukhang OK yan ah. I mean, I've been avoiding eating rice for... hmm... siguro 6 months now. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks, Ate!
Edit: Oh, and here's the Sunrice website. Aussie product pala ito.

Yeah. Ultimately it's a combination of sensible eating and regular exercise that we need.

Easier said than done
Jiru-chan: Di bale, when you visit us, the two of us will be eating that rice (ako lang ang kumakain nun dito sa bahay eh).
