    Smile Cold vs Hot Wax

I just had my first "cold" wax today. I used to have hot waxes at C.A.N.S. Even though I was told the cold wax option was not as painful as hot waxes, I think I will still prefer hot to cold. I was just curious. Do you girls ( and guys, too!) get waxes? What are your favorite places, what type of wax and which area/s do you get waxed?

i go to Lay Bare salon to get my hair waxed. i usually need it on my legs.

i prefer the cold versus the hot wax. had a bad experience with a hot wax before when the attendant didn't cool it down enough before she applied it on my skin. ouch!

I prefer hot over cold wax. I regularly wax my UA and sometimes my brows too.
I go to a salon near UA&P (I forgot the name) but since I bought a waxing kit via a seller in Multiply, I've been doing the waxing myself. I paid 150 for the kit and the wax looks like I haven't used it yet. Dami pa.

Just to share a bad experience I've had, I had my brows waxed in Hairbytes months ago in Shang and namantal ako. So, hindi nako bumalik.

I have never tried waxing. May I ask those who have their armpits waxed, how often does it have to be done? And the best place and around how much please? Thank you.

I go to the Lay Bare branch on Buendia (Star something building). I believe that, at least for brazilian waxing, cold wax is better. Less chance of "discomfort"

That's where I had my first cold wax experience. Lay Bare, Star Centrum Building, Buendia Corner Malugay branch. According to the attendants there, the most popular wax for women and men was the brazilian wax.

Yeah, that's what I got (ssh, secret lang). The attendants actually have horror stories about hot waxing gone bad. Scary stuff

Iv'e been going to Lay Bare for a year now and I love it. I tried those Do it yourself cold wax sold online but it just doesn't work for me. Before Lay Bare, I tried Epilin, hot wax you melt and apply yourself and it also didn't work for me.

@gelatin: it costs 150 for underarms in Laybare. I go there ever 2-3 weeks or so.
