Default Anyone here with shearling boots? Uggs?

Been debating whether I should get Uggs or not. Need something for the winter season, possible trip to Tahoe. Not really after the brand but the comfort it provides. There are a lot of Uggs-like boots out there but their lining is faux fur - so it's basically useless, pang porma lang. Heard that Bearpaw is a great alternative, even cheaper but I don't know anyone who's tried it first hand. LFA's also a good alternative but too expensive.

Would greatly appreciate your suggestions! Thanks!

Hi Demi! I have a pair of imitations/export-overruns/whaddevayuwannacallem and they are really warm and comfy. I wear them out with just one pair of socks and they keep my feet really warm even when it's snowing.

Hotwind here carries a few styles but they only have one pair of each and they're not my size.

If the copycats are good enough, I bet the real ones would be real nice.

Hi Eli! Sent you a PM but forgot to ask, how tall are these boots 10" or 12"? They're soooo cute! Are they from Hotwind?

They're calf-length. I bought them at the local bazaar for 100 RMB. (That's 13 USD to you!)

The Hotwind Uggs aren't original, I suspect. They're only around 400 to 600 RMB (53 to 80 USD). Hotwind here sells a lot overruns aside from their own brand of shoes (which we can start a whole other thread for, hee hee).

Not the baggy fur-trimmed Uggs, demi. They're always being bashed over at Go Fug Yourself. freelancer's version looks more chic.

Hah! Pity the woman who is seen by the blog owners wearing that. Do post here what you find.

And the winner is... (drumroll please!) a pair of cream colored,
convertible American Eagle boots. It's warm, soft and comfy and most
of all, it's only 1/4 the price of Uggs!

Before I decided to get this, I looked at other brands such as Emu,
Bearpaw, Kookabaru, Wormbat, LFA, Aeropostale, Old Navy, Nine West and
Roxy. Ito pa rin ang nagwagi

Wear them up, wear them down, these boots were made for walking and lounging.

    • Soft suede body
    • Fully lined in warm sherpa
    • Water and stain resistant
    • Durable stitching
    • Thick rubber sole
    • Comes up to the mid-calf
