Also, you could opt to get a not so new model of sony digital 8. Still miniDV cams gets cheaper.

Aside from the recommended thread, I seem to remember in the previous Philmug there was one mugger who was selling these cheap (China?)5 megapixel Digital cameras that can also capture MPEG 4. Don't recall the price but it seemed very cheap for a 5megapixel digital camera (9-10K pesos?)

Dunno how it works with the Mac though !!
