1. How much do you charge for video editing services?
2. What platform and software do you use?
3. Do you offer video editing only or does it include video taking as well?
Hi!
1. It a depends. Some charge by the hour, some charge per project. there is no specific amount.
2. Mac - Final Cut Pro , PC - Premiere
3. Some offer video editing alone. But we offer shoot and edit as a package.
Like I said in my earlier thread.
I like to create a video group. Very similar to Photography.
To help and learn new stuff.

im thinking about the same hobby and possible sideline...
to add to the question :
1. whats the investment like in terms of Mac hardware ? and others
2. for a video camera, should it be a pro camera that you should use agad ?
3. any books or courses you can recommend ?
4. Is Videography more lucrative than Photography
I think the answers would be "depends" right ?
I want to learn muna video, techniques and stuff and at the same time editing. Then start with my own projects, then for friends then tsaka na lang business if i think im good enough.
im interested on that video group MG.

Hi!
1. You need a G4 or G5 (better if Dual). extra hard drive. extra ram
2. If you ask me YES. if budget is ok. go get a 3ccd camera.
3. PCCI offer video editing courses.
4. Personally. No. Photography is better.
u2u me so i can have a database. then we will setup a meeting.
eventhough i'm not a photographer. I joined a photo club. Sometimes i wish sana there is a video club here.

Thanks.
1. I want to start sana slow and not make a big investment agad. Planning to get an iMac G5 with Superdrive to start and learn FCP. Or i may just add RAM muna in my eMac and get an external DVD writer. Or its better if i get a G4 powermac with more room for upgrades(go dual cpu) ?
2. Based on previous threads on a 3CCD cam, i think the Panasonic GS200 seems to get good reviews. I was thinking sana muna of the Canon Optura 40 just to start. Does both work well with Mac Apps like iMovie and FCP ?
Any recommendations ? think below 70k budget ..
3. PCCI offers editing, i think SPPP offers videography courses..any feedback on that ?
thanks again!
