    Default Sa Ilalim ng Cogon

My Brother-in-law, Rico Maria Ilarde, is a film director. His most recent project is a thriller entitled Sa Ilallim ng Cogon starring Yul Servo and Julia Clarete.

It was filmed entirely on digital with the video editing done entirely on a 12-in PowerBook G4 1.33 GHz using Final Cut Pro ver. 4.5

Just last week, it was judged as the BEST PICTURE at the 5th Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre film festival (an international festival of fantastic, bizarre and horror films) besting other films sent in from all all over the world.

There's a sneak premiere on Nov. 19, Saturday 7PM at the UP Film Center. Admission is free, but on a first-come, first-served basis. You're all invited.

Yul Servo's stunt double!! Your brother-in-law is one dedicated dude!

If you know how to write/compose music, can you make the soundtrak using garageband?

Amazing what you can do with a Mac these days...

Still, he must have tons of patience to do it in a 12" PB.

    And, of course, much applause!

    DITOY! THANKS!

dahil rin nga pala sayo, I was able to do this movie! I bought my 12 inch Powerbook 867mhz 60gigs supahdrive from you thru elbert's recommendation. Galing ng Final Cut. I didn't edit the movie but I learned to edit because of necessity =) did na mga minor revisions. The great thing about Final Cut also is that it can convert files to mpeg2, .mov, etc, even mp4 so I was even able to put the movie's trailer (4mb) into my K700i.

Managed to work DVD Studio Pro 3 just by fiddling with it. I can't make great menus but what the heck! I can burn dvds with gallery, subtitles, watermarks and it looks good! Tama na. Nahahyper na ako.

I also met our sound post-production guy (Eric Lava of EJL Studio) thru you! Ang galing ng philmug!

    mammu
