Matroska Video

Does anyone know of software (comml/free/shareware) to convert Matroska (mkv) video package files to a more common format like AVI, MOV or MPEG?

I'm coming across more and more MKV files nowadays. Six months ago you couldn't find any MKVs, but now it seems that a lot of folk are using it. While it's an Open Standards Project, most of the development is Windows-centric. It's actually nice and clear and functional, but Macintosh support is next to nil.

At the moment only MPlayer and VLC can play Matroska files for the Mac, and I don't know of any converters or other software that play nice with MKV.
