How to rip DVD movies to your 5G iPod
I know the 5G iPod isn't here yet but I've decided to post this topic already for those who are itching and can't wait for it to arrive. You can go to this site and it contains comprehensive instructions on how to transfer your DVD movies to your iPod. If you have a Treo you can make a few adjustments to the instructions (codecs selection) and you can transfer the videos to your Treo instead.
If you have your own movies and you also have QuickTime 7.0.3 Pro go to this site.

Isnt there a cheaper (free!) way to make iPod videos? Quicktime Pro is $29.95!

Eeeeey! This is great news! I was actually thinking about that while reading through the posts in the flashchat session on the new iPod.
This is the iPod I've been waiting for, I guess.
And being able to rip my DVDs into it was the only concern I had. So I guess it's time to save up. (Oh no! Hahaha)

The correct site should be the 3rd one down from the google search. Just look, I think it is on macupdate.
On a side note, Handbrake is real easy to use for making .mp4. If you have encrypted DVD's it might be a different matter but if you have home DVD's you want to cut up in chapters and vlog then Handbrake is a great solution.
If bandwidth is no concern, vlogging is a pretty cool thing going on. Maybe someone can follow up on it at the freevlog.org site. We should represent our mugs. Show some love from our latitudes, so to speak.
