Default How to Connect a DVD player to an LCD Monitor

    Hello there!

I was just wondering if it's possible to connect a DVD player to my computer's Sony LCD monitor? Are there Video to VGA adapters available?

Wanted to loop something I authored into a DVD unto my computer's LCD screen for an exhibition piece am working on trying to figure out how to do this since I won't have access to a computer for the exhibition.

It's just a video piece with no audio actually. SO i just need video and not audio to come out.

    Thanks!

Well there are inexpensive generic brand DVD players out there around 2.5k that actually has a VGA output on top of the usual video out connectors including S-Video and Component Outputs. Hope this helps.

You'll need a TV tuner like the FlyTV.
I have an older model of this box and you can buy one at one of the computer shops in Park Square 1 (the shop to the right of Villman).

The tuner connects directly to any VGA monitor (CRT or LCD) and you don't need a computer to use it. The only drawback is that you can't record shows on it like with internal TV cards.
