help my icon is lost

i accidentally deleted the icon of my mac dvd player... (panther) is there another way of putting it back... aside from re-installing the os? like is there a downloadable icon of the original panther dvd player? ty

I don't know if desktop rebuilds are still necessary for OS X users but if it is, the easiest way of doing it would be via TechTool Pro if you have it. This should bring your icon back.

If not, then go to IconFactory.com, then do a search of your app's icon, download it and install. And just like that, you're home free, butcher.

if what you mean is that you deleted the icon from your dock, then you can just go to finder and drag the icon back to the dock.

no i deleted accidentally the dvd icon because i changed the original icon in the applicationns folder to a downloaded icon...

To restore the original icon, do a Get Info on DVD Player (Command-I), select the custom icon, and hit delete.
