HELP! Digital Betacam

calling on all ivideographers out there...really need your help....our backyard production house is pitching to this foreign client to give us some business and as trial, they asked us to do a short 5-minuter free-of-charge...the problem is, the raw materials they gave us are all in digital betacam tapes....we have no idea where to convert it. None of the regular places we have our usual betacam materials converted can convert it.

A friend gave us this makati company called Optima. They charge a whopping 7,000-10,000 to convert 1 tape to analog betacam, we need to convert at least 3 of the 5 tapes the client gave us. i just called them a few minutes ago, parang gusto kong umiyak. Honestly, we don't have that budget for a 5-minute avp, tapos conversion pa lang yon. Budget na ng whole project yun eh.

Sorry, only high-end production houses use Digital Betacam.
Just hope there's some rich honcho out there that's willing to do conversion.

i converted digital betacam before. we went to road runner for that.

warning: they charged me 10K for 30 seconds of video! although they also said that the cost would've covered the entire length of the tape, had it been utilized.

hey guys...never got to thank all of you for helping me out here....unfortunately.....we still landed at Optima....it was a PAL Digital Beta....thanks to vicicasas for helping us find out...and well...to say the least...we're praying its money well spent sana....sigh...
