Default Help in Converting Clips into DVD/VCD

    Guys,

I tried capturing a 1 minidv length of video into my emac and tried to write it into DVD/VCD using toast. My problem is that it took almost 6 hrs to encode.

Is it really that long? or am I doing something wrong with it?

And one more thing, when I tried to play some clips in FCP to check the timelines and transitions, the rendering screen displays "unrendered". I need to render first to see the outcome. Ganun po ba talaga?

    Thanks!
    Archie

hmmm... what version of FCP do you have? regarding the render thing, i think you need to check the catptured video settings. it should match with the sequence settings para hindi mo na ire-render. to check clip capture settings just click on the clip then press (apple+9) to check sequence settings, just click on the timeline then press (apple+0 <- zero)

regarding the encoding of the video, check if your FCP came bundled with the compressor software. i think it allows faster encoding onto mpeg2 (DVD) and mpeg1 (VCD) for burning. check mo sa FCP yung export using coompressor. so yun. pero depende din yan sa version mo of FCP. i'm not sure if the earlier versions have it. the earliest version of FCP na nagamit ko is 4.0 na eh. meron nang compressor yun.
