FCP editors and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 Editors.
15 minuter documentary video.

-who can handle (creatively look for a good cut out of a bad shots or clips) in and out points from a source clip para magamit sa docu editing.
actually, meron namang script.
- editors must have at least an experience in documentaries.
(has an eye and can tell a story out of what we have. basta creative)
- FCP editors must have MacBook Pro, iMac Intel or a MacMini G4 with Final Cut Pro 5.1.4
(Talent Fees will include the use of personal Mac hardware.)
- i need 3 editors for this 10 day editing work.
- artistic to create bumpers and other grfx chargens,etc.

this is URGENT.

name your rate then they will talk with you for those who has Mac hardwares for editing that includes 1 terabytes of external Harddisk.

I'd love to join in, but I don't know if I fit the membership profile, I haven't edited professionally in years

(except on my own stuff! haha) I definitely support the idea of putting this group together, it's about time!

You should disseminate this idea all over the place. Contact all the editors at all the post houses, at all the production companies, whatever they're into: commercials, corporate videos, TV, independent cinema...

The main issues I see being discussed are:

1. Salary grades
Well, everything we've been talking about in the 'video editor salaries' thread. Should there be nominal TF levels established for commercial offline edit, commercial online edit, AVP edit, etc.? In the US they establish guild-specified MINIMUM fees.

2. Accreditation
It would be nice to have some sort of accreditation program within the guild, so that "Accredited Member, Editor's Guild of the Philippines" can be a sort of assurance of skill for producers who want to hire you. Kinda like the ASC

3. Collective Bargaining
And here we come to the core issue of every fledgling guild. Do you exercise collective bargaining or not? Will the minimum TF levels be enforced through self-policing the EGP ranks or do we go the Hollywood route and get the production houses to sign off on a standard Guild contract that binds them to honor the minimum TF levels and so on?

Long, LONG discussion there.

Pwede ba sumali ang newbie? I'm just getting my feet wet in FCP and AE as well as Maya, but I'm a long time graphic designer.

sali ako! actually, dalawa kami. I've been editing professionally for 6 years na. i'm all for accreditation and other means we can professionalize our craft. just tell me when and where.
