If you're just gonna convert a couple of DVDs, why not do it yourself? ffmpegX is all you need, and it's free. :-)

I hope somebody can help me with my ffmpegx. Ever since upgrading to Tiger, whenever I install any of the required binaries (mpeg2enc, mencoder & mplayer), I get this error message:

"##/bin/sh: line 1: cd: /usr/local/share: No such file or directory"

I managed to get ffmpegx to start encoding by copying the binaries to the destination folders. However, my converted videos don't have any audio. How can I fix this?

@ supermac, just paste the hyperlinks written on the ffmpegx components self-installer window to safari to download the binaries.

They're the text to the right of the "Locate" buttons.

In my case, downloading the binaries isn't the problem; it's uploading them to ffmpegx.

No sooner than when we're discussing ffmpegx that they've just released the latest version! And here's the thing: binaries now load. Problem solved.

    Dude.
