DIGITAL FILMMAKING 101 workshop

i will be conducting a digital filmmaking workshop ( open to all ages. )

starts april 25. 9am - 12nn. mon-fri. lectures and hands on will run for 2 weeks. production and final viewing of projects on the 3rd week.

camera and other equipment
production responisbilities and collaboration
visual composition
line of vision
camera movements
basic lighting
post production
production of 3 min project




workshop fee: 10T.

Participants are recquired to bring their own digital video cameras

Let me just jump in here and vouch for Dominic, he's a heckuva filmmaker and you can't go wrong taking a seminar from this man!

Insider tip: you'll probably get higher grades from him on your seminar project if you use false plastic teeth as a prop anywhere in your film. Basta. Trust me.

Will you offer a course on just post-production using Apple apps (ex: FinalCut Studio, iMovie, iDVD, etc.)?

dom's really good! he's done an avp for us. And i've seen several of his works - including spoof MTVs!

The workshop is basically a film production workshop re formatted for digital video. So I will not dwell much into specific software. For post-production, I will teach the fundamentals of editing such as visual punctuations and techniques which may be applied to any software from Premiere, FCP, Avid. And besides, post-production is just a third of the whole process. A lot of things can be learned and re-learned during the pre-production and production phase.

sayang! i should've filmed it when i did lasik on your eyes. would've been one helluva video after you the editing with all those, "oops!, ay mali!, teka-teka ulit!" pero mas lalong gumanda yung mga videos mo ngayon diba? hehe
