Re: Converting MSWMM ????
Outside of the few folk who use Intel Macs and Windows, there are very few here who would use Windows Movie Maker (it's a Macintosh site after all) so you'd get few replies.
As far as I know, MSWMM files are just project files that organize all the elements that you've used for your project, and thus doesn't have the actual video file. What you might do is save the file from within your Windows app to a WMV or AVI file. Although I don't know if this is really possible, I'm reasonably sure this option exists in some form. Once you've done that, maybe we can help you out more.
By the way, it's always a good idea to be specific and detailed about your question, if you want to be helped. Not a whole bunch of folk here know what an MSWMM file extension is from the get-go.
If the world had no fences or walls, we wouldn't need Gates or Windows.

Re: Converting MSWMM ????
Well Adel,
I'm not asking those who DON'T know what a .MSWMM file is, I'm asking those who DO. Why would someone who has never heard of a MSWMM even bother to reply, let alone read the post? I've been using Apple since 1984 and have come across all types of PC files. Mac users tend to come to the rescue of other Mac users (since we are in the minority here). The LAST place I would go for an answer to this question is a Windows forum. They are generally clueless about Apple products. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm sure you've fell victim to the "others" whom use those wretched PC's. Unfortunately, a few of those reside within my own family. (Yes, that's right, after years of lecturing, hounding and preaching to them about the benefits of owning a Mac, still they fear change like most in the world.) Surely you've come across "those" people in your time?
This particular MSWMM file was sent to me by a family member and contains family oriented data that I'd like to view. I know what a MSWMM is, I just wanna convert the friggen thing.

Oooh. Touchy. Such a temper, from the tone of your reply. Get up on the wrong side of the bed today?
Well, macki, most of the people here are overly helpful and polite to one another and for someone who's just had less than ten posts, you're pretty high-strung and rude for a newcomer to the site. There is no need to snap. Or as you might put it, no need to SNAP.
I was curious, so I just googled it and found some workarounds in a few minutes. I suggest you do the same.
By the way, the three workarounds I found were all in Windows forums. Now let's hope someone here will still have the inclination to try and help you out after your testiness.

Cool ka lang macki. Adel is right, if you want some help and advice, you will have to be patient. Being a newbie as well, it is just proper to be friendly to a new environment. So welcome to philmug!
Like Adel, I am not familiar with this file type but I am sure that the most basic internet browsing tip of doing a GOOGLE search will for sure give you links. Just as Adel suggested too. Try it if you haven't discovered this tool yet. Yes- www.google.com. It's also on the upper right corner of Safari if you have Mac OS Tiger. Hope this helps.
