    Default AVIs to DVD: How?

Anybody have any idea on how I can combine 2 avi files onto one seamless movie and burn it on DVD? I have QT Pro, iMovie, iDVD and Toast installed on my Mac.

    TIA

    hi!

i dont know how to combine 2 avis to make it one movie but i usually use toast to burn my dvds. however, you need to find the appropriate codec espcially if its and xvid video. you can search this in google

I have done this in two ways:
1)if they are the same size just copy one file and paste it into the other file in QT Pro.
If they are not the same size, you may need to re-size one of them and then copy and paste in QT Pro. Save it as a QT file and use iDVD.

    2) Import both of them into iMovie and edit as you see fit. Then export to iDVD.

    Hope that helps.

    Diva,
You would neet QuickTime Pro. Open the MPEG movie -- it would have a .DAT extension -- in QuickTime then export to an MOV keeping the same settings. you could convert to a DV but you won't get an improvement in quality.

Note: If its in SVCD - i.e. MPEG-2 format, you need to buy a plug-in from QuickTime to read it.

Repeat the process for all the VCD movies you want to convert. Then open iDVD and you can stack as many as will fit on one DVD and go to the next.

You can try it out and see the results.

Forgot to mention you probably will need these two plug-ins for QT Pro.
check these URL's and you'll be able to get them.
