Hmmm, Nikon user posting Canon pics :P what a weird world!

BTW, if you look at the lower left hand corner of the pic, you can also see someone holding what appears to be an EOS-300D...

Edit: Incidentally, I find it rather interesting that the Canon logo is taped over with electrical tape on Steve's camera ... it's kind of useless since the flash sports the logo anyway.

Haha! Don't read too much from my post Vic! I actually envy the support you guys get from Canon. But I still love my Nikon!

I guess since/if he is identified with Nikon ?? they taped it. The flash is a non-issue, it could be used w/ any brand of camera. The EOS though ought to have been taped down !! That's is probably an OOOPS !!

Nope, Canon flashes are incompatible with other brands. Although third party manufacturers like Sigma, Sunpak, Metz, etc make flash units that will work on a Canon body.

Hard to tell from this angle, his hand is covering the only telltale feature that would distinguish the Mark II from its predecessor, namely the tiny logo near the lens release button. It could very well be a 1DS, they're all physically similar.

But hey, it's Spielberg. I'm sure he wouldn't buy an original 1D when he can afford the 1DS or Mark II!

Ive been trying to look and look and squint, hehe, my poor eye cant detect any gold tinge on the 'D' or 'Ds' mark. The Ds sports a gold emblem i think...while silver/white for the 1D

But heres proof to make me think its a 1D Mk2. I dont see any trace of the hybrid external white balance sensor above the EOS1 label which the 1D and the 1Ds both have.

    wala lang...

PS: But then again, it could be a film camera!

Hahahaha great detective work, I completely forgot about the white balance sensor! you got me there, Randy. Hats off.

of course, we're all just fooling around. We know it's gotta be a Mark II, right? :P

unless ... Spielberg's got his hands on a prototype of a new 1 series digital?

    (ay, rumor mongering)

Remember, if it were a film camera it would say EOS-1V boy we have way too much time on our hands.

BTW: Vic, whens your full review of the 20D coming? Does it hold water against the MarkII you usually use?
