PCCI: Celebrity-Glamour Portrait Photography

On August 20 to 21, the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI) will again hold the workshop, Celebrity-Glamour Portrait Photography.
This workshop will cover the finer elements of portraiture encompassing techniques that professional photographer Dominique James applies when photographing celebrities. With the goal of making subjects look like glamorous celebrities in pictures, Dominique will share valuable tips and hints that are all easy, quick and painless to apply.
The course will break down the various elements that contribute to making a successful and modern "celebrity" type of portraiture both in a studio setup and on location. Distilling his working experience of more than 15 years, Dominique will touch on all aspects of creating visually stunning "celebrity" image portraits.
Under the guidance of Dominique James, participants will have the opportunity to instantly apply the techniques when photographing two popular female commercial models from CalCarrie International. Each participant will have the opportunity to create professional grade, world-class, celebrity-type, portfolio-quality photographs.

• Basic principles of photographing people
• Elements of beauty in photographs
• Mathematical formula/rule of capturing & creating photographic beauty
• Pre-production & conceptual stage of photographing celebrities
• Hair & makeup styling for glamour portrait session
• Dealing with celebrities & talents during the portrait session
• Photo session workflow
• Studio lighting techniques for celebrity portraiture
• Natural lighting techniques for celebrity portraiture on location
• Composing the portrait image
• Portraiture secrets of pro photographers
• Post-production workflow
• The legal & business aspects/arrangements of photographing celebrities/models
Who should attend
This is for amateur and professional portrait photographers who want to make their subjects look like glamorous celebrities in pictures.
What to bring
Participants should bring their own (film or digital) SLR camera. For participants with film-based cameras, film will be provided.
Course fee: P 5,200.00
Course fee for PhilMUG members, P 4,700.00
