    Default \"I See iPod People\"

We've all seen those iPod posters, and we all love them...now its time to try making them using your own photos!!!

Warning: Careful, Apple might come running after you....

Update: here is my mediocre attempt at it long before I found the tutorial

Now that's great... except for the font you used... which appear to be a little too fat.

    Myriad Apple Semibold

But you'll be hard pressed emulating the iPod shuffle even using the above font as it has a ligature (script like writing where the resulting letters are connected) on the ffl of shuffle. In this case, the first f connects to the second and the top end of the l is connected to the hook of the 2nd f. Did I make sense? Look here for what im trying to describe, notice the ffl

For the other iPods, no problem....

Good you brought that up Randy. Not many people know about ligatures but this is something every graphic designer/ art director MUST know.

Ligatures are available on Text Edit > Format> Font > Show Fonts. Then click on the "Action" daisy at the bottom, choose Typography. Randy's right, Myriad Semibold doesn't seem to have ligatures but Zapfino has, see my sample below. Have fun!

This is turning out to be a very informative thread. Thanks Cherrie for those tips. Will come in very handy for future Photoshop work.
