Default How do u store/display your prints? - Folio cases

Ok so we have had threads on mac cases and one on camera cases.. howabout print cases? care to share how u display your prints (or if you even print any nowadays) and/or what portfolio case you have for them?

I saw some nice Pratt clearbook folio cases in Sketchbook in GBelt3, around 4k for one with 20 pages..

After college I made my own type of matting out of 8x11.5 inch boards from National Bkstore and would mount my prints but that was then and im thinking of other options now..

this is a great thread! unfortunately there are only 2 of us who think so. i really need a durable, professional-looking folio, nothing too pricey though. I have to store at least 80 8x10 prints in a single book. If anyone has any brilliant ideas or recommendations, I would definitely appreciate it

Let me know if you guys are interested. I'm having one custom-made by this plastics maker. The size I'm gunning for will be 10X15 inches. He's giving me options on binding and acetate plastic or no plastic at all. Will let you guys know when I get it.

My portfolio is divided into 2 books, one for fashion / beauty work and one for products. They were custom made by a bookmaker. both are 8 X 10. inside are C prints mounted on 8 X 10 matt board. each book can fit around 15 - 20 prints.

Keep your portfolios small also, as they become too heavy (when loaded up with mounted prints). The lighter and smaller they are, the easier too handle.

Also, its good to keep your book updated, change 1 third of whats inside every four months, this tells your clients that your work is current and that youre keeping busy!

I suggest you keep the number of prints down to at most, 25 prints,. will post a picture as soon as i get them back from a client.

i have the 8x10 Pratt case. i bought it in Sketch Books for about 2k++ a couple of years ago. it's really nice and classy. hahahaha!!! i store around 20 8x10 unmounted prints in it. i honestly think that it's not a good idea to scrimp on your portfolio case. remember, first impressions are very important.
