HELP: How to Print Photos of Different Sizes
Hi guys. I use Adobe Photoshop CS to edit my pictures and Print using a Canon Pixma 3000 Printer. I needed a passport size picture of my daughter last night and decided to take her picture using my D70. I cannot figure out however how to print a passport size picture using a Canon 4x6 inch photo paper without wasting the excess paper, something like printing four pictures in one paper. I had to resort to trial and error and had to cut the picture to the exact measurement. Is there any software to do this? As far as I know, the bundled software with the printer cannot do this. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Doc. You might want to try laying it out (copying and pasting) in Adobe Indesign or Freehand, then print it from there. Since you're using Adobe Photoshop, Indesign might be best.
Or if you want to stay within photoshop, create a bigger canvass (4X6), duplicate your daughter's picture layer 3 times and lay them out side by side. Then print.

Or you can try the File > Automate > Picture Package (im typing from memory here...i dont have PS in the PeeCee workstation im at now)
There are various layouts there, you can even make your own

If it is not to late - in Photoshop crop your photo to the desired size > open a new 4X6 document > drag and drop passport photo > using the move tool align photo to the top left edge of the 4X6 document > click-option-shift on photo drag to right > repeat step >link and merge all 3 photos (command e) > click-option-shift on photo drag down. Voila! you'll have six passport size photos.
Before doing this steps make sure Snap is set to on and resolution is at 300dpi.

OR....go to Version Tracker, and down load the OX version of Epson Photo Quicker. App can print multiple photos, in various sizes. Hope its not too late.

Wow, galing guys. I went over some of the suggestions, like Randy's File>Automate>Picture Package and I was amazed to see that there are a lot of things that I have to discover from this software. I just don't have the time yet to discover this on my own. Hopefully will be able to do this during the summer break.
BTW, I was able to print the picture using the Layout option under print. I had to feed the paper 4 times to get the four pictures. Now I know better...Thanks to all of you. I just hope that one of these days I can join you PhilBugs.
